There are some small signs of fire season arriving around the North State. Wednesday afternoon about an acre-and-a-half of grass burned off Huckleberry Road in the Corning area. There was a 5 acre vegetation fire off County Road MM in the Orland area. About 2 acres of timber burned north of Pondosa in Southern Siskiyou County. The River/Dutch Fire off Highway 96 in the Klamath National Forest is 80% contained at 40 acres.
