There was an expensive fire at a North Redding storage facility Monday. Redding Firefighters were called out around 1PM and worked through extreme heat on the stubborn fire at Prestige Recreational Storage on Prestige Way off Caterpillar Road. The building on fire held ten storage units and was one of several buildings on site. The fire was well established when the fire department got there and all personnel on duty were called as it took 2 hours to gain control of the flames. Damage was significant, estimated at $100,000 to the building and another $500,000 to the contents.
