A major fundraiser is this weekend for One Safe Place, to support Shasta County’s domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. “Dancing with the Shasta Stars” takes place Saturday night at the Cascade Theatre, pairing notable community members with professional dancers. Each pair of dancers has spent months rehearsing two different Broadway numbers, and they’re ready to dazzle the crowd. There will be a pre-party starting at 3:30PM in front of the Cascade with food trucks, drinks and red carpet flair. Last year the event raised more than $184,000 for One Safe Place to further their mission. Less than 100 tickets are still available.
