DA’s Office Collecting Food To Mark Elder Abuse Awareness Month

A food drive to benefit elderly residents is underway by the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office. The 10th annual drive is being done to mark Elder Abuse Awareness Month. All food gathered will be donated to Dignity Health Connected Living for distribution to seniors in the area in order to fight food insecurity. Non-perishable food can be dropped off at the DA’s Office on West Street. On May 23rd and 24th from 8AM to Noon, District Attorney’s Office staff will be at Save Mart on Churn Creek Road making a big push for those food donations.
