A driver was killed and another driver was arrested for DUI Friday night from a crash on Dersch Road. Shortly before Midnight 23-year-old Onyz Young was eastbound driving a Chevy Silverado. West of Mossom Lane near Prairie School Young allowed the pickup to cross over into the westbound lane, according to the CHP. The Chevy smashed head-on into a Nissan Xterra, killing the 22-year-old male driver. The Nissan passenger, a 15-year-old boy, suffered a broken wrist and a broken clavicle. Young had a broken leg. Despite their injuries, both were able to get out and get safely away after the Nissan caught fire. The CHP says Young was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and he was arrested on felony charges.
