An assault suspect sought by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Department for two months has been captured. On December 5th the victim was working on a car on Peach Lane in Churn Creek Bottom when his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, 48-year-old Michael Stuart Robinson, reportedly snuck up behind him and attacked him with a metal pipe. He suffered two broken arms, and other injuries to head, back and all over his body. He walked to a neighboring home to get help and was treated at a hospital, but he didn’t report the incident. 3 days later the victim and his girlfriend stayed at a friend’s house. When his girlfriend left Robinson reportedly showed up and confronted the victim, holding a gun to his head and threatening to kill him, then lowered the gun and shot him in the shoulder. When the girlfriend returned she took him to a hospital. Staff notified law enforcement and deputies got an arrest warrant for Robinson. They had been looking for him ever since. On Tuesday deputies followed a tip that Robinson was at a home on Peach Lane. When they arrived he was outside and reportedly tried to run into the backyard but was caught and booked into jail with jail set at $550,000.
