Two suspected burglars were chased by Tehama County Deputies Tuesday night, but only one of them was caught. At around 9PM someone called 9-1-1 from the south side of Red Bluff and said two people with flashlights were trespassing at a business near East Canal Road and Tyler Road. While deputies were en route, the caller said the pair had broken into a shop building and set off an alarm, then stole a company vehicle. Arriving deputies with help from the CHP found the vehicle abandoned in an orchard. Eventually 34-year-old Damien Jones was found hiding in another nearby orchard and arrested. He’s on Post Release Supervision and had an active felony warrant. The other suspect remains at large.
