Deputies Reportedly Find Over 9 Pounds Of Meth Hidden In Ice Chest During Traffic Stop

A Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Deputy made a discovery Sunday morning that definitely didn’t come from the Easter Bunny. At 11:15AM the deputy pulled over a car on Interstate Five north of Yreka. The driver, Angel Moreno, and the passenger, Daniela Ponce, are both from Santa Rosa. The deputy somehow established probable cause for a search and reported finding 9.1 Pounds of Methamphetamine hidden in the side wall of an ice chest. Both Moreno and Ponce were booked into jail for possession and transportation of drugs for sale.
