Redding’s celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. begins at 10 O’clock Monday morning at the Shasta County Courthouse. A march will proceed from there to Sequoia Middle School. Those who prefer a shorter march can park at First United Methodist Church at South and East Streets at 10:35AM and join the marchers as they pass by. The celebration at Sequoia continues until 2 O’clock Monday afternoon, including free lunch. This year’s theme is “Mission Possible: Uniting a Nation the Nonviolent Way”.
