There was a fatal crash west of Red Bluff in Tehama County Friday morning. At 9:30AM a westbound Audi A4 was on Live Oak Road west of San Joaquin Drive when it crossed the opposing lane, left the roadway, went through a wire fence and collided directly into a tree. The driver, who was traveling alone, was stuck in the vehicle and special equipment had to be used by rescue personnel to get the driver’s door open. After being extricated from the wreckage, emergency personnel were unable to revive the unidentified driver and he was declared dead at the scene.
