Driver Of Jeep That Crashed-On Into Car Killing 5 People Faces 9 Felony Counts

Prosecution is delayed for a head-on crash that killed four people on Highway 299 near Del Loma in Trinity County January 24th. The CHP says a Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed into the oncoming lane on a curve and smashed into a Chevy Impala. Two siblings, 19-year-old Craig Vernon Houston the Second and 23-year-old Natalie Jewel Atlas Houston, were laid to rest February 5th in tribal ceremonies in Hoopa. Services are pending for 18-year-old Jake Henry and 21-year-old Ryan Nicole Wiley. The fifth person in the Impala, 21-year-old Juliana Jarvis, remains hospitalized. The driver of the Jeep is also still hospitalized. 40-year-old Jose Adelaido Jimenez Garcia faces nine felony counts, including four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. His blood alcohol level was reportedly .14%. The CHP has not yet completed their investigation.
