Roadwork will continue on Interstate 5 in Cottonwood this weekend, and major traffic problems are expected. CalTrans has been doing work over the last two weekends on the northbound side, and traffic backed up for several miles into Tehama County. On the weekends of June 13th and June 20th it’ll be the southbound side of the freeway. Work begins at 10 o’clock Friday and continues through 6 o’clock Sunday morning. Travelers should make plans to avoid Southbound I-5 or be ready for extended delays.
