The family of a Red Bluff woman who vanished almost four years ago wants to launch a new search effort. In October of 2022, now-58-year-old Tammy Pitkin told the people close to her that she was going on a short trip, but she never returned. The following month a hunter found her Toyota Camry abandoned on a Forest Service road east of Sweet Home, Oregon. Tammy had been spotted in Sutherlin Oregon a few weeks earlier. A billboard seeking answers has gone up in Red Bluff, and the family is trying to raise money to hire private investigators, search specialists and forensic experts to find new leads and get some answers. A collection is underway on a “Bring Tammy Pitkin home” GoFundMe page.
