A driver has been shot by multiple law enforcement agencies in the Siskiyou County Town of Weed. On Saturday evening a Weed Police Officer pulled someone over on a freeway exit from Interstate 5 into Weed. Available details are very sketchy but the Weed Police Department says circumstances developed that led the officer to call for backup. A Mount Shasta City Police Officer responded to assist. They continued to investigate and for reasons that are unclear both officers fired their guns, striking the driver. No information has been released about the condition of the driver who was shot. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
