A traffic stop in Siskiyou County has led to the arrest of a convicted felon and sex offender in possession of Meth and ammunition. According to Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy recently conducted a traffic stop in Happy Camp. A consent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 41 Grams of Methamphetamines packaged for sale. The deputy also found a box of .380 ammunition, which was illegal for the driver to possess as a convicted felon and sex offender. The driver, identified as 64-year-old as Jetty Thom, of Happy Camp, had apparently been been driving with a suspended license at the time of the traffic stop. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia and possession of ammunition while prohibited to do so. Due to the presence of Methamphetamine for sale, the Sheriff’s Office requested a search warrant for Thoms’ residence, where investigators found 9 bags of Methamphetamine, a digital scale, illegal paraphernalia and more ammunition. Thom was then transported to Yreka and booked in the Siskiyou County Jail.
