Evacuation orders and warnings were issued for a fire in the Shasta Vista Subdivision of Siskiyou County. Located in the area of Roland and Henzelman Drives, it started around 11:30AM Wednesday morning and was held to 5.5 acres.
A structure fire spread to vegetation in the Millville area. Located on Mentone Road off Whitmore Road, the fire destroyed the home’s pool house, and the spread was held to about 3 acres.
Cal Fire/Shasta County Fire is reminding drivers to be sure their vehicles are roadworthy. On Wednesday, a trailer was not properly secured and was creating sparks as it traveled on Dersch Road east of Deschutes Road. It started 3 roadside fires totaling about a half acre.
Cal Fire/Tehama County Fire extinguished a fire involving several vehicles and an outbuilding off Red Oak Road in the Rancho Tehama Area.
