Cottonwood Fire, Cal Fire and other agencies battled a house fire in West Cottonwood Wednesday morning. Crews were dispatched at around 9:30AM to a house off Gas Point Road near Moonbeam Lane and residents reported the rear of the structure was burning. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the attic of the home, and they quickly called for additional resources. It took about 40 minutes knock down the flames and another couple of hours for mop-up. All the occupants of the home made it out safely.
