Flooding has caused significant damage to One Safe Place, Shasta County’s shelter and crisis center for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence. All survivor services and shelter services remain available but starting next Monday the crisis walk-in services will be handled exclusively through the 24 hour crisis hotline at 530-244-7233 that’s 530-244-SAFE. That will remain in place until repairs are completed in early January. The temporary change will not affect response to hospitals, child welfare and law enforcement, and legal advocacy will still be available as well. Holiday donations have been relocated to 1320 Yuba Street.
