Forest Service Will Hold Public Meeting On 33,500 Acre Fuels Reduction Project

National Forest Service Officials are inviting the public to a meeting to learn about a very large fuel reduction project in Trinity County. The Big Ranch Community Risk Reduction Project will affect 33,550 acres on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and almost 6,000 acres on the Six Rivers National Forest. It will especially affect the communities of Big Bar, Big Flat, Burnt Ranch, Del Loma, Hawkins Bar and Salyer. The meeting will be at the Burnt Ranch Guard Station on School House Road next Monday (4/6) at 6PM.
