It’s free to ride the bus in Redding for the remainder of the Summer. For the second year, Redding Area Bus Authority is able to offer “Free Shasta Summer”, with every rider’s fare being covered by a grant from Cal-Trans and California State Transportation Agency. The free rides will continue through September 30th for all RABA routes in Redding and Anderson, intercity routes to and from Shasta Lake and Anderson, the commuter route to Burney, the beach bus to Whiskeytown and the demand response service for disabled riders. Bus passengers can also request as code to access Redding Bikeshare E-bikes in Downtown Redding for unlimited 60 minute rides. Information is at rabaride.com.
