A meeting in Anderson will be held to encourage the removal of the city’s flock camera system. The cameras record and analyze license plates and other visual data for purposes of tracking and crimefighting. There has been vocal opposition in many areas because the system surveils and tracks everyone, whether they’re breaking the law or not. Organizers of the protest say they want to start with Anderson and then the rest of the county. Their plan is to meet in Anderson River Park at 3 O’clock this Sunday.
