Happy Valley Water Users Will Be Shut Off For Up To 48 Hours For Emergency Repair Work

The entire Clear Creek Community Services District will shut off the water Monday morning to do some emergency repairs. There’s a major leak on a water main that runs along Hawthorne Avenue and it needs to be fixed before it blows out. Unfortunately there’s no isolation valve on that line so the entire system needs to be shut off for the Happy Valley area starting at 5AM Monday. The work is expected to take 24 to 48 hours to complete. When it’s done, residents will need to boil their water until testing determines it’s safe to drink. Bottled drinking water will be available at Happy Valley Community Center on Happy Valley Road and Cloverdale Community Church on Hawthorne. Water trucks for various needs and portable toilets will be stationed in the area. Happy Valley residents are advised to store as much water as they can before Monday morning.
