Human remains were found in the burned wreckage of a house fire in Siskiyou County last Monday. The fire had apparently occurred 6 days earlier on Steven Road in a remote area of Mount Shasta Vista. Cal Fire had been unaware of the fire, but said that an “Alert California” tower camera had recorded a significant glow in that area at around 2AM January 6th. The Siskiyou County Coroner is trying to identify the body and an autopsy will be done. Anyone with helpful information can call 841-2900.
