A Redding defense attorney has been convicted of felony charges for a collision that happened while she was operating an electric scooter. In November of 2023 Lisa Marie Jensen was driving the scooter on a sidewalk when she struck a pedestrian from behind. Redding Police found her to be under the influence of alcohol, and the scooter falls under the definition of a powered vehicle. A jury found her guilty last Tuesday of two felonies: DUI causing injury and reckless driving causing injury, with a special allegation of great bodily injury. Jensen will also face a special allegation for having a prior DUI conviction within ten years. Sentencing is set for March 20th.
