Jury Finds Woman Guilty Of Assault With A Deadly Weapon After Homeless Camp Stabbing

A woman who stabbed someone in the neck while at a Redding homeless camp has been found guilty by a Shasta County jury. 24-year-old Emily Danielle Maw was acquitted of attempted murder but guilty verdicts were returned for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. The stabbing occurred at a camp near the Sacramento River Trail last December. The victim sustained only a minor injury. Sentencing is April 27th.
