Two events will be held Wednesday by the League of Women Voters of the Redding area. A candidates forum for Shasta County Board of Supervisors Districts 2, 3 and 4 will take place in Shasta Lake City at the Larry J Farr Community Center at 4499 Main Street starting at 6 O’clock. Earlier Wednesday, a Noon event at the Redding Library will feature a forum on the pros and cons of ballot Proposition 1 and local measures C and D. Prop 1 would expand the Mental Health Services Act of 2004 to include substance abuse disorders and would issue more than $6 Billion in bonds. Measure C would limit Shasta County Supervisors to 2 terms. Measure D would change Shasta to a charter county.
