Redding’s Assistant City Manager Steve Bade, who has been serving as City Manager since the retirement of Barry Tippin, has announced his retirement. Bade has worked for the city since 1998, leading the Housing Division, Redding Area Bus Authority, the Airports Division and the Economic Development and Innovation Division. He also was the Downtown Liaison and was an integral part of revitalizing Downtown Redding. Steve Bade’s last day is December 19th. Personnel Director Kari Kibler will do the job until new City Manager William Tarbox takes over.
