A man arrested last month by Redding Police has been sentenced for his huge collection of child sexual abuse material. A tip was made in November to the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce detailing images showing the abuse of young children, toddlers and even infants. RPD Detectives traced the materials to 45-year-old Bryan Scott Loftus, a former Bay Area resident. After search warrants were served Loftus was charged with possession of more than 1,500 images described by police as “horrific”. Last week Loftus was given a sentence of 16 months in state prison.
