Man Recently Released From Prison Leads Officers Of High Speed Chase

A Redding man is accused of leading police in Corning on a very high speed chase. At 2:30AM Saturday morning a Corning Police Officer saw a motorcycle and rider that looked like one that had fled from officers on Friday. The bike had expired tags so the officers tried to pull it over. The rider fled, reaching speeds during the chase up to 130 miles an hour, but then the motorcycle broke down. 28-year-old Nickolas Byrd is already on Post Release Supervision in Shasta County for felony evading and was recently released from prison.
