A man who took advantage of a position of trust to make a living hell for a young child has been given a life sentence. 40-year-old Ryan Clark Dalton was arrested by sheriff’s detectives last May, and faced eleven counts of rape and lewd acts against a child under 10 and a child under 14. Dalton pled guilty to three counts and admitted to an enhancement that the crimes involved great violence. On Monday Dalton was sentenced to 35 years to life in state prison.
