A pedestrian was badly injured Wednesday morning when he was struck by a pickup on Bechelli Lane. Shortly after 10AM the man was crossing Bechelli Lane near Wilshire Drive when he was hit by a Ford F-150. Police don’t suspect drugs or alcohol on the part of the driver. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with major injuries. A witness told police that the man had been repeatedly crossing the street back and forth for hours. The RPD Traffic Unit would like to hear from anyone with helpful information.
Redding Police have not commented on an apparent hit-and-run of a woman on Hartnell Avenue next to North State Security shortly before 7 O’clock Wednesday morning. The victim was taken by ambulance with what appeared to be very serious injuries.
