A 40-year-old man has made a plea deal to child sexual assault charges in Shasta County court. Ryan Clark Dalton was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives last May, and faced eleven counts of rape and lewd acts against a child under 10 and a child under 14. Last week Dalton pled to three counts and admitted to an enhancement that the crimes involved great violence. Next Monday Dalton will be sentenced to 35 years to life in state prison.
