Man Who Tried To Steal An Airplane In Corning Sentenced To 20 Months In Prison

A Corning man is going to prison after being caught trying to steal an airplane. 37-year-old Matthew LeBlanc was arrested by Corning Police in February after they responded to Corning Municipal Airport on reports that someone had been seen on surveillance cameras climbing over a fence and untying the tether rope of an airplane on the tarmac. Officers quickly arrived and found LeBlanc. They searched him and found a concealed dagger. After pleading guilty to two felony charges, LeBlanc has been sentenced to 20 months in state prison.
