A large dark plume of smoke could be seen Thursday in the Bowman area of West Cottonwood. At around 10:30AM, Cottonwood Fire and Tehama Cal Fire crews were called to Del Norte Road. A mobile home was about 75% involved in fire when firefighters arrived. It was a total loss. The residents got out safely and no injuries were reported.
A garage fire was reported Thursday on Lynbrook Loop in East Redding. It was apparently part of a single-story duplex. Firefighters had the fire contained just over ten minutes after arriving on scene.
