Money Seized In Tehama County Drug Busts Donated To Red Bluff Junior Spartans

Drug money has been used for something good in Tehama County. State law requires that at least 15% of assets seized from drug busts be directed to programs that keep children away from drugs and gangs. The Tehama County Major Crimes Anti-Gang and Anti-Drug Board is tasked with providing grants to worthy organizations. They recently gave $10,000 to the Red Bluff Junior Spartans, a club connected to the Red Bluff High School Football and Cheer Programs. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Department also uses forfeited assets to pay for it’s helicopter program and to purchase equipment.
