Multi Agency Raid Targets Massage Parlors In Redding

The CHP and several local law enforcement agencies raided 13 different massage parlors in Redding simultaneously on Monday. At 11AM, as part of a human trafficking investigation, search warrants were served by Northern Division CHP Investigators, Redding Police, Code Enforcement, and the Shasta County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s Offices. Officers identified one victim of trafficking and connected that person with resources. 12 suspected prostitutes were contacted, and the CHP will recommend charges be filed against them, including “maintaining a house of prostitution” for some of them. Officers also seized 74 electronic devices and found a stolen police badge. The agency has offered no speculation about how the badge was stolen.
