The public is invited to attend the swearing in ceremony for Shasta County newest Superior Court Judge. Ryan Birss was appointed by the Governor in February. He’s a graduate of U.C. San Francisco, and has had his own private law practice since 2018 after working for Eric Alan Berg and Associates. Birss will fill a vacancy following the retirement of Judge Monique McKee. Judge Kathryn Barton will officiate Birss’s swearing in this Friday at 4 O’clock in the Jury Assembly Room.
