A Cottonwood man is accused of storming into his ex-girlfriend’s house and threatening multiple people with an AR-15. Anderson Police say 42-year-old Levi Dunlap had planted a tracking device that captures audio in the bedroom of the victim at a house on Bay Street in Anderson. While listening to a private conversation on Wednesday he was apparently angered by something he heard. After the alleged threats Dunlap left, but he returned and drove by the house while the police were there and they spotted him. He abandoned his car and reportedly tried to get into a stranger’s house while still armed with the AR-15, but they locked him out and he was apprehended. On Friday officers searched Dunlap’s cabin on Devil’s Gap Drive in the Igo area and found a loaded 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun with the serial number altered, another loaded 12 gauge shotgun, a loaded 44 magnum revolver and a loaded 40 caliber handgun, as well as a lot of ammo and other various weapons.
