A Medford man is suing the Big League Dreams Company, alleging that two years ago he was at the restaurant located at the sports park in East Redding when part of the roof collapsed on him. He claims he was knocked out and suffered a serious head injury with lasting effects. The date of the reported incident is from before the private company abandoned ownership of the facility, which is now being managed by the City of Redding. The plaintiff, Michael Causey, owns an Oregon baseball academy. No specific monetary amount is named in the civil suit.
