Reverge Anselmo, the former Shasta County winery owner who moved to Connecticut several years ago after a legal dispute over land use permits is back, at least as a political donor. According to financial disclosure statements Anselmo recently donated $250,000 to the Water Users Committee a political action committee that opposes the recall of District One Supervisor Kevin Crye. Anselmo’s money was received in November. Anselmo also has previously given almost $2 Million to Shasta County candidates and committees including Supervisor Patrick Jones.
