Overnight Work On Downtown Bicycle Connection Will Cause Some Delays For Drivers

The City of Redding is continuing work on a connection for bicyclists through the downtown area from Center Street to the Sundial Bridge. The route runs along Trinity, Continental and Butte Streets to the Sundial Bridge Drive overpass. It will include a two-way cycle track, ADA compliant curb ramps and signage. Nnew street lights will also be installed along the route. Starting Monday June 10th through Wednesday Wednesday June 12th, a microsurface layer will be applied to the existing asphalt concrete roadway. Crews will also be installing new striping and delineators. The work will be done at night and lengthy delays can be expected, so drivers should avoid the route if possible.
