A couple of prescribed burns are being done this week by Shasta-Trinity National Forest officials, as weather allows. Plans are to torch 25 acres at the Mariner’s Roost and Captain’s Point Campgrounds at Trinity Lake. There’s also a 100 acre burn set for the area of the Cabin Creek Trailhead near McCloud. Both areas may close to the public for a few days.
