On Monday Shasta-Trinity National Forest crews will continue working on a 151 acre prescribed burn in the Weaverville Community Forest. Tuesday and Wednesday 350 acres of timber understory will be torched as part of a vegetation management operation west of McCloud along Highway 89. The burns are only being done under ideal conditions, and the areas may close to the public while burning is underway.
