Public Meeting Will Be Held On The Rebuilding Of WES Camp

The rebuilding of Whiskeytown Environmental School is open to public comment. The facility at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area hosted more than 137,000 Shasta County 5th or 6th graders to learn about science and nature from its inception in 1971 until it was devastated by the Carr Fire in 2018. Efforts to rebuild have been underway ever since. A public meeting on the project will be held on Saturday February 7th at Noon on site at the WES Camp. The full assessment and a link to make comments can be found on the KQMS Facebook Page.
