A Red Bluff couple has been arrested on suspicion of killing their 3-month-old baby. Last Wednesday morning Red Bluff Police were called to the Super 8 Motel on Gilmore Road on a report of a baby that had stopped breathing. Officers attempted CPR, and arriving firefighters and EMT’s continued trying to revive the baby girl, and she regained a pulse. The infant was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital and then transferred to U.C. Davis Medical Center, where she later died. Although she was only 3-months-old, the baby had suffered multiple significant injuries during her short life, which contributed to her death. Monday the parents, 21-year-old Zaire Butler and 23-year-old Allie Power, were both booked into Tehama County Jail for child abuse and murder.
