Redding Attorney Convicted Of DUI Appeals Suspension Of Law License

Lisa Jensen, the Redding attorney convicted of charges stemming from a November 2023 incident in which Jensen, riding an electric scooter downhill on a sidewalk on Placer Street, slammed into an elderly pedestrian from behind while under the influence of alcohol, has filed a request for a stay of suspension of her law license which is set to take effect next week. In the appeal she claims that losing her ability to practice law would cause undo hardship on her family. According to reporting in shastaunfiltered.com the matter is currently pending in the Third District Court of Appeals. In March, Jensen was sentenced to 120 days in Shasta County Jail (with 90 days suspended), five years of formal probation, and a three-year driver’s license suspension. This was her third alcohol-related offense as she had a prior DUI that was reduced to reckless driving.
