The Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Redding City Council member Erin Resner in her campaign for Shasta County District 1 Supervisor, a seat currently held by Kevin Crye. Candidates were scored based on a written questionnaire, an interview, and answers given at a candidates forum hosted by the Chamber. In the case of the District 5 candidates, endorsements were given to Anderson City Council member Mike Gallagher as well as incumbent Chris Kelstrom, as they scored virtually the same. This is the first election in which the Chamber has made endorsements of pro-business candidates since that policy had been canceled under former Chamber President Jake Mangas.
