Redding Library Will Reopen Tuesday Following Modernization Project

Great news for book lovers and other library users: the Redding Library will reopen on Tuesday. The changes inside are more than just fresh floors and carpets. A nearly $800,000 state grant has allowed various modernization of the library, including a new family area on the main level, relocated adult collections, public computers, and improved study spaces upstairs. The seating and shelving has been reconfigured for better flow and browsing. There are 36 new security cameras for the safety of visitors, and a backup generator will allow services to continue through power outages. Standard opening hours will be Monday through Thursday from 10AM to 7PM and Friday through Sunday from 10AM to 6PM. Several events are planned for the library, including the annual Gala February 21st, Rev Rumble & Roar April 18th and the Summer Reading Program in June and July.
