A 33-year-old Redding man has made a plea deal on a rape charge. Early in the morning of June 4th it was still dark out when Tylor Craig Bowman dragged the victim from the steps of the courthouse to under a bridge. A number of people in homes and businesses along the way heard the victim and called 9-1-1, and a man heard the victim crying for help from under the bridge and reported to dispatchers where the crime was taking place. Bowman pled guilty last week to forcible rape with a prior strike and other enhancements. On August 4th he’ll be sentenced to 12 years in state prison.
