A Redding man has been acquitted of charges from a shooting at a North Redding mobile home park. On April 6th of last year Redding Police were called to the Twin View Mobile Home Park, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to a hospital. He apparently had been shot by 58-year-old Steven George King. Police say King was in his own home when he fired his gun through his screen door at 36-year-old Michael Hale, striking him in his upper body. King had made repeated allegation of continued harassment by Hale and others. King was initially charged with attempted murder, mayhem, assault with a firearm and grossly negligent discharge of a firearm. King was also charged with a misdemeanor for having a gun while under an active restraining order. On Thursday a jury found King not guilty of all charges.
